Bob Sevenster

In 2015 Bob started the Coral-AID initiative, aiming to use technology for the benefit of coral reefs and sharing fundamental knowledge with anyone interested in achieving the same goal. In that same year he managed to design and build the first Coral-AID mineral accretion device. It worked perfectly. For three months. This first success and setback led him on a path to further develop mineral accretion technology. In the following 5 years he managed to perfect the design and has helped to electrify reefs all over the world. We interviewed him from his latest project in the Seychelles Islands.
